The Business Development team was busy this September with a slew of international and domestic trips. Our team members traveled internationally to Japan and Germany, and domestically to Austin, Texas. One of our team members also attended The Battery Show in Detroit.
Japan Mission Trip
Our team member Alan M. Weber, EdD traveled to Japan alongside Gretchen Whitmer, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and other local economic development organizations. The team met with company and government leaders in key industries like mobility, automotive and advanced manufacturing with the goal of deepening Michigan’s relationship with Japan and securing investments and jobs for the state.
Germany Mission Trip
DRP team member Will Butler traveled to Munich, Germany with Oakland County to attend IAA Mobility. The conference convened over 500 mobility leaders from across the globe to discuss the rapidly evolving mobility industry.

The Battery Show
DRP team member Colton Dale attended The Battery Show this September at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan to talk to company leaders about the Detroit Region’s thriving EV and mobility ecosystem.
