Detroit Regional Partnership Applauds Approval of Incentives to Make Michigan More Economically Competitive 

 Funding key to attracting jobs and investments and retaining auto leadership

Today, the Detroit Regional Partnership applauded the Michigan Legislature for passing legislation that provides $1.4 billion to support job-creation incentives and provide support for small business. The legislation includes the new Strategic Outreach and Attraction Reserve which will help attract transformational projects and investment to this state.

“This legislation is much needed and will provide the opportunity for Michigan to win more key expansions while attracting new investment and jobs to our communities,” said Maureen Donohue Krauss, president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Partnership and current chair of Economic Development Leaders for Michigan.

“It is an important step in building out the economic development toolkit we need to beat out other states for major projects, create a more resilient economy, and retain our global automotive leadership.
